Buried Alive

"Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem,
first make sure that you are not, in fact, just surrounded by assholes."

-William Gibson

And also, this:

Man, look at these assholes. Just kidding.
My honey and I at a PEX party several years back.
Our facial expressions are nearly
as entertaining as our attire.

Sigh. I love playing dress up. Here are some more images, of various things, for further entertainment and joy. Need to switch it up around here every so often, so it doesn't get too emo or depressing. There is no order, reason or meaning behind my choices. Let the randomness soothe your meticulous noggin. Appreciate something bizarre. Live a little, seriously.

None of the above images belong to me, except for the first one in this post. (If they belong to you and you are angry, please allow me to apologize.) I have a folder on my desktop called "inspirations", itself divided into several loose subcategories, organized somewhat poorly, where I save internet jpegs of whatever interests and inspires me enough to want a copy nearby. I also keep a word document for saving quotations I like in that folder... which then, is somewhat relevant to why I started this post in the first place, to share the quote by William Gibson. My computer organization is a lot like my life organization - I collect and save things that mean something to me, which are not usually necessarily valuable objects.

Going through my room and childhood belongings at my parents house recently, I forced myself to purge a lot of "useless" things (ie, mostly academic trophies, not a sports kid at all) and came back to Philly with oh, about four bins of photographs, sketchbooks, nic-nacks, and god knows what other garbage. I don't know the exact number of bins because THEY ARE STILL IN THE CAR. We arrived last Sunday. (Read, not yesterday, but over a week ago.) This is because I already have too much shit, and am not sure exactly where to put my new (old) treasures. I am not a hoarder or "buried alive" or suffocating in ceiling-high stacks of newspapers - I am simply an artist who saves too much and collects strange things because they inspire me and make me happy.
